 | The Island called "AlwaysMoreBeyond" | Dec 18, 2006 |
Welcome! To the island called "AlwaysMoreBeyond". It is the island where Truth's flower wearing the colour of the Rose of Sharon blossoms with the fragrance of the Lily of the Valley. This is the island RS Thomas wrote about when he said, "I would still go there if only to await the once-in-a-lifetime opening of truth's flower; if only to escape such bought freedom and live, prisoner of the keyless sea, on the mind's bread and water." Whenever and whatever I post, I am mindful of what Jane Kenyon said, " It is not with the lyre of someone in love that I go seducing people. The rattle of the leper is what sings in my hands." And here is my poem that I hold dear in my heart...it is entitled "NO ILL"... N O I L L This Everest Stone resting on my breast Bone, someone placed it there. And I know, God, you allowed it. Not to hear the broken reed Cry of my breath. Not that I may know your strength When suddenly you remove the weight. But that by this I may know You delight in me: my enemy Shall suffer no ill because Of my broken ribs This is what Aurora Antonovic, Canadian Poet Extraordinary, Artist, Editor of Poetry Journals and e-zines has to say about Kianseng Ng, "Continuing on our travels, we have Dr. Kianseng Ng, a physician by day, and dynamite poet and artisan by night. Dr. Ng couples his skilled poetry with some of the most intrinsic and inspiring batik I have ever seen. On Always More Beyond, topics such as mental illness, Parkinson’s Disease, and loneliness are touched upon with such insight and tenderness, that one realizes the duty and power of pure poetry" ," To read my poetry, please go to "Blog", to see my Paper Batik Paintings, Photographic Montages and Cut & Paste Collages, Artist Trading Cards, click on "Photos", to read my Prose please check out the "Review" column, to read my descriptions of my creative friends, go to "Links" and open up.Go to videos to hear and see poetry performed. Question: Kianseng, one of the lovely things about your poetry is the imagery. I believe you look at life through surreal spectacles and that makes your poetry “spectacular.” I remember that one of your blogger friends once asked you, “What is an... more | Contacts | |

At the last count, I think my poems have appeared in six ezines....but if I remember correctly, Lawrence, your poems have been posted in very many, or at least twice mine! Have a Good week ahead of you and if "stressed out by work" come up for durians......ya, taking the train will do just fine but expect delays! |
 |
i am okay, just insanely busy with work.
for this ezine, it's by invitation only, so maybe you have sent in a batch of poems and have forgotten about it. :)
I will keep your durian invite in mind. maybe one day i will take the KMT train to Kluang and demand the durians. :)
Cheers! |

Thanks Lawrence and I did not even know about that......how do I get to the Review? And how are you? The Durian season is here again and in 2 weeks it will be at its peak, my invitation is still open, come up on a weekend, no need to stay the night if you dont want to...have lunch and then durian for tea and also "tao-poh" back some really bitter durian, my treat! Bring a couple of friends too, I am only 2 & 1/2 hours away from You! |

A prayer for my missing friend
When fears surround you, And breaks you deep within. When troubles come before you, When all you feel is pain.
If all your friends leave you, When you needed them the most. When all you have is sorrow, When you feel like all is lost.
Someone will be there to comfort, He will make you always safe, Someone to keep you from breaking, No matter what it takes.
He will never leave you, When you need him the most. He will give you joy, not sorrow, He will drive away your woes.
So never be discouraged, Have faith and take a stand. Just call on Him and surely, He will give you a helping hand.

I cannot help but thought you also wrote on behalf of me, thanks Marie, especially for these lines:Can the art between the phrases reveal my friendship to you? Long after you are gone, I still linger here missing your words. Someday my pen will break free of you. My soul must follow my mind. For now, I remain here in the shadow of your words.

Another day I have burnt, Letting the remains of the day fall to their ruin. Shivering like the leaves of autumn in fear of winter. The never-ending rebirth of thoughts flows with your image. An image that continues to keep my pen in bondage. A champagne sunrise plant kisses on a dreamers eyelids. While a moonlit evening bring to a poet’s ears soft howls of your heartbeat. Every thought failed to express themselves. I have kept them hidden in poetry, Carvings left on a stone wall by a infatuated prisoner. Wondering if anyone will ever read these words. Can the art between the phrases reveal my friendship to you? Long after you are gone, I still linger here missing your words. Someday my pen will break free of you. My soul must follow my mind. For now, I remain here in the shadow of your words.

Mariefleur,Yes I miss him too, he is one of those Lights which will never fade, it shines strongly in our hearts, I echo your words:"An echo fades into the night, an eerie mournful sound. A shooting star disappears from sight, and I crumble to the ground. There is no life within this garden", yes within the garden of my heart too! |
 |
Where are you dear abuzuhri An echo fades into the night, an eerie mournful sound. A shooting star disappears from sight, and I crumble to the ground. There is no life within this garden; my sobs are the only sound. You are a treasured friend to me. How can I make things right? Oh my friend where have you gone? It now has been too long Will you come back? So now I turn to face the stars I pray one day you will return But until then, I'll watch this star burn.

My Poem of 11 June 2008
Another sunrise in my diaspora life another journey down memory lane the bird of spirit fly unceasingly, where to ? vivo per lei, dare to live in embrace of oneness in rainbows of hearts ! |

A ray of light amidst darkness. A silver lining around the cloud. A dawn at the threshold of night & morning Hope reminds you - That darkness is on its way out and the light on its way in. That cloud will float away opening up clear blue skies. That it is time to greet the arriving morning and say farewell to the departing night.
Have a good day |
